What is Halotherapy?
Halotherapy is a holistic, all natural, non-invasive method that mimics the natural climate of salt caves. Halogenerator machines micronize pharmaceutical grade salt into an aerosol which is then dispersed into our rooms. To receive the benefits of Halotherapy, guests and clients need only sit and breathe in this environment. The natural properties of these charged salt particles will take care of the rest! Without halogenerators, you don't have Halotherapy.
Think of it as respiratory hygiene. Pharmaceutical grade salt acts as a toothbrush that scrubs away toxins and pollutants. Halotherapy helps reduce inflammation in the entire respiratory tract all while normalizing your pH levels so your body can begin to heal on its own. The body always requires time when it comes to a natural healing approach. This goes with the standard method of administering Halotherapy. It needs be practiced with low salt concentrations spread across multiple sessions for the individual to really experience the benefits.
The properties of salt are naturally antibacterial. While breathing in the dry salt aerosol in our rooms, the tiny particles travel along your entire respiratory tract, into the deepest parts of the lungs and sinuses. Salt dissolves the bacteria/pollutants allowing you to either cough up mucous or expel mucous by blowing your nose. The anti-inflammatory properties will have you breathing a lot easier on your own by widening your airway passages. Dry salt is absorbent and attracts toxins and pollutants while it travels through your respiratory system removing build up that can cause various respiratory weaknesses.
On the Skin
HaloTherapy has been proven to have a positive effect on various forms of skin issues, including acne, psoriasis, and eczema. When salt particles fall on the skin, they increase the activity of skin ion channels. This stimulates cell growth and regeneration. Dry salt particles balance skin pH and auto flora, as well as reduces harmful bacteria and inflammation. After a series of treatments, clients may experience decreased itching, decreased or resolved scaling of the skin, and the drying and healing of small fissures, and scratches.
